maybe ask your mom if you can donate it to locks of love (or another organization like it).

its a win/win cituation. Someone gets a wig and you get your short hair

ha ha i went through the same thing i went all the way off almost like a pixie cut n i loved it for a few, now im mid length to my back, give your self another year or two before you cut it please or maybe she will allow you to get long layers, this way you will still have long hair for her but it will be more of a style and also in the front it would be a little bit shorter_______ but until then use what you got, do your hair in rollers one night all the way to the roots this will shorten your length, or try corn rows- you might end up wanting to keep your hair, baby dont cut it your self, ask moms if you can get sum highlights or a temp hair color a little lighter or darker than what you are now, make a deal with her, ask her if you act responsible and in two months you still want your hair cut will she allow you to cut it, maybe to the middle of your back and in another two months if you want it shorter than that try again. good luck sweetie

ahh.. I remember when I was in your position. Hate to say it.. but mommy is right.. I cut my hair at your age.. and I regretted it a few years later.. Ask her if you could take like 3 inches off.. so its not too much, and not too little. Otherwise, you may regret it later. Plus I think your mom would have a better chance of saying yes if you changed it to the middle of your back instead of shoulder length. Also, ask your grandparents when she first cut her hair.. and if its around your age.. rub it in her face!!!!

I had hair longer than yours until I was about your age. then I cut it up to my shoulders and I regreted every moment of it. It is extremely hard to regrow it back when it's cut and you will have no pacience for it. I would advise you to think more on it before you decide to do it. I'm 16 now and my hair is still short. Just think about it before you decide. Good luck ^_^

GO for it. If you get an allowance, save up enough and go on an innocent trip to the mall and have it done professionally. YOu will never be able to cut it straight by yourself, you will need help.

Im 12 and that i used to have long hair till my waist too . yet my mum begged me to decrease it extremely of promising to not . you may desire to objective to cajole her to decrease it a pair of inches , and spot the type you like it . additionally tell her that its not healthful , by way of fact then your hair could have split ends and it can result splitting each of ways up , inflicting all your hair to drop . Dont decrease it too drastic although , or you will remorseful approximately it , in basic terms like me . standard i could attempt each little thing to make my hair strengthen out , hahah .

Just cut it the way you desired... What could your mom do if she finds out that you have already cut your hair? Make sure you get a hair extension? Glued it back to your scalp? So just cut it... Follow your heart... Besides, it is your hair not your mom's...

Your 12, you should be old enough to decide how long your hair should be. So either give her a very good reason as to why, or get someone else involved like your dad or a grandparent.

talk to her, say that it grows back anyway, and that you'd like to try something new ... maybe try to reach shoulder length gradually, first tell her you want it a bit shorter, then say "how about if I took another 1-2 inches off" and so on ....
