how is it the word death changes the perception of life? allowing for the ability of appreciation when suddenly faced with the idea we may no longer have it? Is it because as human beings we strive for more unable to appreciate what we do have?Lost because we are so busy trying to find what we have lost? Or is it what we have lost isnt something to appreciate? And how do we know until we have found what we have lost to make a comparison of what we didnt have?

The rest of it goes like this
Is it true that if you have no soul, then you have no life? And if so? How is it that it seems there are many without one, still living life? I did not know the answers to my questions until it was revealed to me one winter afternoon, I had lost mine. No I am not the walking dead who's soul has been snatched by the unholy breath of a vampire.
I am just a little girl trapped in the world of adults. A world where so many immiatate the walking dead, and dance through their lifes in a fog of denial. I am just a little girl telling you how I lost my soul and found the courage to gain it back.
This is my story....

I like the concept: the use of words and semantics in affecting paradigms is a fascinating area. Individual "interpretations" of the word "death" within the confines of an existing belief system, and the evolution of a concept to "attach" to the word as one's belief system is afffected by the word itself, if I understand a portion of your central idea properly, could make for a compelling psychological/ theological subject matter.

I think your beginning of the book about a girl losing her soul and then regaining it is misplaced. It makes good philosophy, but I recommend you get into the novel plot immediately that will grab the reader instantly.

The beginning as you have it might suffice as a preface to the book, but not starting out Chapter One.

Moreover, check for capitalization and reduce redundant phrases.

Understanding that much is lost in your story, the word itself-lost--is too frequently used. Look for suitable synonyms and avoid redundant key words and phrases.

Good luck.

Added note: I believe your question is better suited to the "Books and Authors" department--not this one.

Hi, well it has potential, you have to ask yourself what age group or demographic are you trying to attract?

Are you writing fiction, or non fiction, are you writing a story or editorial, and informative piece based on personal experience?

I would try altering your paragraphs and making them more adaptable to all readers, it sounds very intellectual and adds too many ponderous questions for the reader to get through.

Don't get me wrong, it is good, but you have to keep in mind what an editor is looking for, and the genre of today is willing to accept. Keep your readers in mind at all times.

God Bless, Shannon

I think it's intriguing, though needs to be cleaned up a wee bit. Other than that, you've got the hook & catch going on. If I was reading the book, I'd have to continue turning the pages.

again Excellent!
Just remember to begin with a capital letter. Then after a Full stop or question mark, you begin again with a capital letter.
