No, actually UHDV is not 1080p, here is the wikipedia article on it:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UHDV
If you don't wanna read basically UHDV has 4x the resolution as HDTV, its 7680x4320. It said in the article it is so realistic people actually got motion sickness from watching it. Anyway it is still in the experimental stage, and I doubt we will see it for a very long time, since it would be extremely difficult to transmit that much bandwidth through cable or satellite, as even a Blu-Ray disc can only hold about 18 minutes of UHDV.

I've never heard the term "UHDV". But I assume you mean 1080p.
There are multiple TVs on the market with 1080p capabilites. The 1080p video source is the problem today...
If you are referring to a 1080p display in a disc format... there are two choices available today; HD-DVD and BluRay. Both HD-DVD and BluRay players are very expensive today and the player's performance is sub-par (overheats, slow FF and Rewind, slow menu selections...). Most customer service oriented high end electronic stores will not recommend purchasing either product today becuase the BluRay/HD-DVD war has not concluded (similar to the Divx/DVD war that took place in 1998-1999). So I would wait til one product begins to dominate the other before purchasing either one. That said, the picture is unbelievable at 1080p.
If you are referring to 1080p television broadcast, currently no major channel broadcasts a 1080p feed. In fact, I doubt they will broadcast in 1080p until every show on TV is in at least 720p. Which probably will not happen any time soon.

Sony Grand VVEGA SXRD is now what you would call ultra high def. It has 1920x1080 resolution to reduce the 'screen door effect'. It comes in 50", 55", 60", and 70" screen sizes. There may be other brands that have this form of so-called 'UHDV', but Sony is among the best.

Don't hold your breath. If UHDV does come out, it will be restricted to specialty uses such as medical or other industrial or governmental applications. After TV stations have just spent millions converting to HDTV, it will be a long time before another upgrade.
