Go rent cast away and see what he does. You need to use everything to your advantage. This is the man thing, be creative with your environment and don't panic. Build shelter to stay in, better off under tree coverage and not on a hill or base of hill where flowing water can soak you. Next thing find water. This is actually fist thing to do as well as build shelter find fresh water. You can also capture rain water or break water vines or break cocanuts. Next build a fire, big big fire and keep going so someone may see it. Also write help or SOS in the sand so plane may see it. But while doing all this you must get food for energy. Use the tools at hand sharp rocks to carve spears for fishing or catchin crabs. Also look right at where the water rolls in and look for bubbles in the sand if you see bubbles and a little hole, their is probably a clam in that spot. FOOD. Or stand in shallow water and spear fish. All in all use your head and don't panic. Panic turns to shock, then you freeze up and die. You survive seven days without food, but only a couple days without water, so find water. Plus, workin up a sweat building fires and shelters and looking for food, all will dehydrate so make water number one priority.

First figure out what I can and can't eat.
Second figure out a way to purify the water or look to see if there is a spring anywhere on the island.
Figure out a way to build a fire so I can possibly catch and cook fish.
Enjoy a nice sunset and sunrise.
Build some type of shelter. Figure out a way to shade myself so I won't get sunburned.
Enjoy splashing around on the beach.
try to build a good sandcastle.

First, I would try to find or make shelter. Then see if I can possibly make a spear of some sort for hunting or fishing to eat.

try to get rescued, like on gilligans island. Make a distress signal- fire- a flag. But while you were there you'd have to find food and make a shelter.

1st thing you do is look for the "HOTT" person who is stranded with you...there is always a hot man/woman there for you to fall in love with and start making babies...
