If we judge a person by their skin color or act differently to someone because of their skin color what would make us any different than the person who hates a person for their skin color. You seem to be a bit racist. By being interested in a "white girl" you feel like you are "betraying your people"?
Where are you living? Are you in Columbia? If not, perhaps you should return there and stay in an area where there are only native Colombians. (I don't know how many immigrants are in Columbia or where they immigrate from, but there must be some from somewhere and you would probably want to stay away from them)
Do you know how much crap would be thrown at me if I declared "I am a white girl, but lately I am attracted to a Spanish guy at work. I don't dare date him...what would the neighbors think?"

Who cares what other people think and/feel when it comes to you and your life? People with prejudices are selling themselves short in life. Not allowing themselves to experience all of what different nationalities, etc... there is offered in the world, is a hindrance in their growth as an individual. You never know if you don't at least try. It may or may not work out just like with any other relationship, but at least by trying you are opeing up a wider vision of opportunity.

How i see it is, if she is human and doesnt have horns growing out of her head and a tale then why should race be a problem? this world is soo multilaterally mixed so why are so many people still living in the dark ages.

This is why I love South Africa. Everyone does everyone else, no problem. Thats probably why theres an over population prob, but in the end a cute face is a cute face and who would say no to contricuting to the destruction of racial barriers?

To each is own! My family told me to date hispanics since I was a little girl, they believed and still do believe we should stick to our own race but I like a black guy now,and I could never be happier!So follow your heart, Looks dont matter much anyway, its whats inside that brings beauty!

I think you need to listen to your heart on a situation like this. Do you like her? If yes...then go for it. Race, color, and income should have nothing to do with this kind of choice. Now if her culture is repulsive to you...you need to put that under consideration. But, you need to do whats right for you...not what makes your friends happy.
