are woman over 30 (single, no kids, no boyfriend) genarally desparate for a man to marry and have a family.... does that make them easier to pick up on....???

Depends on what kind of life they lead without the boyfriend and kids....if they have fulfilling careers and friends they enjoy spending time with then I doubt it. I would guess that the thing that would make a woman most desperate would be loneliness and and a low sense of self worth.

I am a woman over 30 (single, no kids and no boyfriend) and though I cannot speak for all women in this category I will speak for myself.
I am very happy in the current "state" I am in. I am not desperate and nor do I go around chasing men.
I am far more picky about what kind of guy I want now then I was when I was younger. Experience teaches you alot about life and what you really want. If I married when I was younger I would probably be divorced and unhappy and desperate versus now I know what I want and will marry only the kind of man I want. I know that I will spend the rest of my life with that guy.
I think a lot of woman in this category won't just settle for anyone nor will fall for every guy who tries to pick them up. So beware!

Not necessarily, I don't think so. There are actually a lot of women in their 30's who enjoy staying single and are sensible enough to stay one than get hooked with guys you shouldn't get hooked with. It's the 21st century anyway, well, women can do a lot of things than get picked up...

Men are more desperate than women are, and they just try harder not to let it show.

yes they are ... don't you know they all wear signs that say please give me a baby; my clock is ticking!!! and then they try not to appear desperate...
