Although overweight, I'm pretty active, I take a multi vitamin every day, and have been exercising regularly for about 3 months now. Lately, I've been getting a lot of leg cramps. But the weird thing is that it only happens during sex. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Thanks!

Sounds like you have a very busy routine. Another thing you may want to try is moderately warm baths (nothing over 100 degrees is safe for you and baby - so keep it luke warm), heat pads on the cramped muscles and stretching those muscles throughly and gently before you lay down at night. Your midwife will have other suggestions too -- they are trained more so than us on these things. Congrats!

Drink water and take potassium. Potassium has something to do with leg cramps. And....perhaps you should stretch your muscles a little before sex. Sure couldn't hurt....at least not as much as the cramp, and it won't interrupt your fun.

Increase your daily potassium intake by eating at least 3 servings of fruit a day. Also, take calcium-mgnesium-zinc pills with each meal. Most cramps respond well to magnesium supplementation.
