It's their 28th wedding anniversary. They're both in their mid 50s.
Ideas please! Thanks :)

My favorite, a gift certificate to their favorite place to eat, the movies or the theatre if they like that. Guaranteed time they get to spend with eachother doing something they both like always a good idea. If you do the place to eat give it to them with a bottle of wine, movies microwave popcorn and/or candy, theatre funny opera glasses.

Here's what I did for my parent's 36th anniversary this year. I was tired of giving them a card, flowers or gift certificates. So I went out and bought a very nice, very small picture frame. Then I painted a tiny picture of the church that they got married in (I even found pictures of it on Google images to work from) in black and white. Because it was so small (about 3 inches square) I wasn't all caught up on making it look perfect., just simple and classy. I dated the back of it. They absolutely LOVED it. It means a lot when you take time to make something from the heart. If you are an artsy or creative person, you should give it a try.

A gift certificate to a restaurant? A card showing love. Either.

One of the most common questions spouses ask when confronting a marriage crisis is this: How can I save my marriage if my partner doesn't want to help find a solution? How do I succeed I am trying to save my marriage on my own? Learn here https://tr.im/ZoJhJ

It is a typical enough story: one partner leaves, the other stays. One remains 'in love', the other is uncertain. Whatever it is that has caused a couple to be apart, the one person who remains bears the prospect, fear, doubt, desire, hope of saving his or her marriage' alone.

on the cheap is a photo album and ask family members and friends to contribute photos and stories and little memories for them to have.

on a more expensive, a dinner out by themselves to their favorite restaurant or for even more generous a night or weekend at a bed and breakfast for them in a small quaint town

I would suggest a gift from things remembered, they always have something for those occasions.
