This boy i sit next to in science class I have known for two and a half years now. But before he never showed an interest in me, infact we never talked before. Now all the sudden he has just been making conversation with me and today he put his feet up on my chair like a footstool where I was sitting! Is he trying to flirt with me?

Sounds that way to me.
Do you like him? If so, I'd use it lol. Flirt back every chance you get!

I think it's OK to be friends if that's all you want, but do not mistake he is a still a male and he may see how far you will let him flirt with you, so always keep your boundaries. Don't let anyone invade your space.

Looking like a good chance of it. Still too early to tell if anything more than friendship yet. Just keep doing what your doing and play it out.

if he's starting to notice you now and trying to make conversation then it could be that he's starting to have interest in you. or if he has no one else to talk to in class maybe he's just trying to be nice and be your friend. just start talking to him and do a little slight flirting, if you're interested maybe something can happen.

The picture you play for me is a very stupid arrogant fool.
That scene might also be sexual harassment. His is trying to dominate you.
I assume you could see the bottom of his shoes.
The muslim culture the shoe is the LOWEST insult you can get.

Tell him jokingly when he becomes President of large corporation and hires you paying six figures, then he can put his feet on your desk. It sounds friendly, but bit pushy

Body language says it all! If he's giving you good eye contact, facing you directly and extending his legs toward you - it's major!
