why one should become christians, hindus, sikhs etc.while everyone has a seed of enlightenment and that seed can become a BODHITREE--TREE OF ENLIGHTENMENT?

because they were taught they do not have that spark of the divine/seed of enlightenment/whatever that they can nurture.

at least thats the best theory I've been able to come up with.

and to the second answerer... don't worry. you'll have alot more than a second chance, you'll have as many as you need.

but really everyone has the place they need to be, and for some people, christianity, even with the self-depriciating aspects, is what they need.

Become enlightened is a goal! It is Not the only goal! Jesus did not stop at enlightening His disciples, but they stopped short of martyrdom for just a little while! Men will die for Jesus willingly enough, but hesitate to die for mankind!
