An audiologist is trained in hearing tests and hearing aids. Much cheaper than an otolaryngologist and the otolaryngologist would probably refer you to an audiologist anyway. You might also need a referral from your primary care physician so check with him first.

Yes I refer you to call your insurance company and see if hearing aids are covered first and have them refer you to an Otolaryngologist that is contracted with them, so that you won't get stuck with the bill..... TRUST ME. (this is assuming you have insurance.)
