I know i just asked a really heated question about abortion, but everyone has their own view on it. The law has it now that it's legal, and no one can do anything about that, evidently, because the government doesn't care about the populus after something is decided upon. Why is everyone trying to change others' views? This is one of those topics that everyone takes their own view and has reasons for it, thus making them virtually incapable of change (myself included). Do we do this for fun? Scream and yell at each other that they're either unethical or inconsiderate because it makes us feel good? Or are we all just generally closed-minded about this because of the nature of the issue?

Im all for pro-choice.... only my take on pro-choice is make the choice... before you make the child.....

Why is it if the woman wants the baby... its a baby..... and if she were attacked and killed and the baby was killed in the process.... the attacker gets charged with 2 counts of murder.

But if the woman dosnt want the baby...... its a fetus..... and a doctor can kill the child with no concequences at all??

Abortion is so volatile because it involves legal murder, and Christians are compelled to speak up for the rights of the child.
If they make a law that everyone over 70 is to be put to sleep, will you sit on the sidelines and say "Oh well it is legal"?? In this case we would be compelled to try and save the lives of the elderly. Same game.
You see when we determine the life of the child is miserable or they will not be wanted, we put ourselves in the place of God and we are giving and taking life. That is why people that do these things go to hell, because they are guilty of murder or assisting in murder of a child that God gave life to. We know better than God so we will decide..
We raise up rape or incest like it was a large amount of the abortions, 50 million abortions and way way less than 1% are related to the rape, incest problem. 50 million dead babies pave the way to hell, and you think that a living God accepts flimsy excuses that you have murdered his creation.
Read this link at Truth or Fiction about a abortion survivor and tell me that you want to kill her now as her life doesn't serve for anything..

My only point about abortion (and I'm a pro-choicer) is that there seems to be no actual reason to be against the legalisation of abortion, OTHER than the basically religious ones. So, it's something that religions are trying to shove into our legal systems. So, as long as the legalisation of abortion cannot be opposed WITHOUT mentioning the bible, believers should be allowed NEVER to practise one, but unbelievers should be allowed to do it, in case of need.

And I'm so interested in discussing this, because actual girls die every day, because of ill-made abortions.

Rememeber that the law held in this country that a black person was only the equivalent of 2/3 any other citizen. Should we accept injustices such as that without debate just because it has been made into law? And was not this law eventually changed?

I am pro choice. Personally, i wouldnt mind a law that outlawed late term abortions except in cases where the mother's health is threatened, but of course, that last law republican **** s put together didnt have sucha clause, because they dont care.

But I have good good friends who are pro-life and for them its an inocontrevertible moral issue and they dont understand. Its a philiosophical issue to them when life starts.

Is it not better to terminate a pregnancy early if the child's life will be miserable? As it's legal, at least there is freedom to choose, rather than a state mandate telling us what to do. I like the option there if only for this, victims of rape, child abuse etc.

The law can be changed, as it was to make abortion legal.

It's distinctly possible that a very conservative Supreme Court could overturn Roe v. Wade--it's important that those who are pro-choice keep this issue at least somewhat in the spotlight in order to protect the rights of women.
