Bout time. I am working toward better informing the public and creating a true political party: one in which only AMERICAN INTERESTS, as a WHOLE, are considered. We need to put a REAL AMERICAN into office. Forget the Ivy League, wealthy elitist who keep getting "elected" into positions of pseudo-representatives. HELLO!!!! THe majority of Americans are neither wealthy nor elite! The system is set up to keep the rich rich, to the detriment of the rest of us. Unless we can get freethinking younger Americans to form our own party, then we will be stuck in this cycle of ineptitude forever...until the US goes bankrupt.

Government is too partisan. It's not about the people, it's about which side is going to win. What disturbs me the most is the constant bickering and smearing that goes on both sides. A house divided will fall. Nothing gets done, and elections are just a race to see who gets the most seats. Social programs are out of control and riddled with fraud. Congress forces the military to buy only from specific vendors, which is where you get your $10.00 hammer. They are not allowed to seek the lowest price. I hate to be a pessimist, but I don't see things getting any better. It's going downhill and we are picking up speed. Unfortunately, the world depends on the US's economy, and when we go, we are taking everyone with us. So if not for our own people, shouldn't we at least try for the rest of them? You would think...

To a point I agree, but this lack of leadership stems from a specific problem that not everyone agrees is a problem. In essence, President Bush and his administration have made it practically impossible to go against them without being accused of supporting terrorism and antipatriotism. And yet they are removing all of our rights one by one. They insist they'll still give us these rights, but they have set things up so they can take them away anytime they feel like it.
Maybe they will allow us to keep them. But history has shown that if you give someone power over you, they'll eventually use it. But none of us are sure when Bush and his administration will use it, or if they'll be out of office before they have a chance to use the power they are seeking. Most who support Bush believe we'll continue to have those rights until the end of the Bush administration and so there is nothing to fear (or they refuse to believe he'll ever take them away), while those who don't support him believe he has already taken most and is finishing up taking the rest of our rights. Yet they can come up with no better solution to the problems facing America. In essence, we've got a potential dictator on one side; and a potential fool on the other side for leaders in the executive and legal branches. And since those two branches together choose the last branch (judicial), we've got a fair chance of dumba**es there also.
The basic fact is is that this world is no longer fully salvageable. We can delay the end, but only God can save us now. And when he comes, I suspect there will be practically no politician who will actually be on his side (though they believe they will be, the Bible tells us the kings of the Earth in their entirety will be against God). No one from George Bush to Osama bin Laden and everyone in between who is trying to lead at the time will be with God. We must trust to Jesus, not earthly leaders to help us now.

It's only the democrats that think the US public is stupid.
As for your economics comments, have you noticed that the national debt has been cut in half in four years, BY CUTTING TAXES instead of raising them.
No, you weren't aware because the liberal media doesn't put out any info that makes Bush look good.
They could have at least spun it as another lie (Bush claimed his tax cuts would cut the deficit in half in five years, not four).

Instead of getting worked up about it, consider it as a learning experience.. in our past we have learned from our mistakes to make our country what it is today. We can't do anything about the leadership in our country as of today so there is no reason to get worked up about and make yourself ill - think of it as a learning experience and what you don't want to happen later down the road... watch the next presidential debate.. get involved... know what you want in a leader and what you don't and maybe next time around - a better President can fix the parts you feel are broken.

As soon as we can get enough people to realize what is going on. Part of problem is people don't care because they still get a pay check and nothing else matters to them.
