Well I am planning a surpise party for mom and grandma. What we did was this. They both think its a book opening. We have a hollywood theme, the Emmy Awards style. We have all the props, decorations, all the way to invitations and awards for both of them. The red carpet is going to be out of sight. All the guest are coming an hour ahead of time so we can take pictures of them coming down the red carpet and make a scrap book for both of them. This could be an idea but if not I enclosed some link hopefully you can get an idea through them.

My favorite for a surprise, get family members/friends/coworkers anyone who knows her to write a short note and submit old pics of her (with or without them). E-mails/letters/drawings from kids, whatever. And remember it dosen't have to be super sentimental if your mom isn't into that kind of stuff. The one I made for my dad was more like a roast. His friends loved telling stories about him getting in trouble as a kid. Make a scrapbook with them, works everytime. Everyone likes something with personal touches, but in this case you will have plenty of people helping you.

No matter where you present this to her there will be smiles all around. It is something you can share forever.

For an occasion like a birthday? Invite some of her friends over to your house for cake and coffee. Or arrange a day at a spa for her and take her there. What would make your mother happy? Think about it.

It depends on how old your mom is. I am sure she would enjoy have some of her friends there, also rent a movie you know she would like. Talk to some of her friends to get a better idea about the movie. Bake her a cake and just have a great time.

Because most of our mothers are so busy with their jobs and with the housekeeping , they dont have so much time to make them beautiful. You can go to a beauty salon and make a full day reservation for your mother with everything what you think she would like to get from there. And you tell her that you want she come with you downtown without she to know you will bring her there.
If you know your mom likes it you should try it, she will have a great time :)

Kinda hard to help when we dont know your mother. Surprise for what? What does she like? Does she have many friends? Maybe a nice BBQ with fam and friends would be nice.

Clean your room.

Begin by cleaning up the ENTIRE house.

Or, if you chose the lazy route, get her maid service for a few months to come in once a week. She'd appreciate that.

But she'd LOVE having you take the initiative and do it yourself!

cook for her, make everything ready.

take her out, and come on at the dining time,

let her feel the pressure that she is late for cooking, and then when she comes home,, finds food ready on the table,

cook her favourate dishes, of dishes that she loves to cook for ur dad.
