FAO Kelly :-)
Club Orange is a very popular Irish soft drink produced in Ireland by C&C (Cantrell and Cochrane) and is bottled in plants in Dublin and Belfast.

The ingredients are carbonated water, sugar, orange juice, whole oranges (minimum 25.8%), citric acid, the preservative (sodium benzoate), the colours beta carotene and apocarotenal, and vitamin C (ascorbic acid). It is recognisable by the orange fruit tissue that remains in the drink after being produced.

In addition, Club also more recently created Club Lemon, Club Rock Shandy (a mixture of the orange and lemon flavors), and Club Apple soft drinks. However, the original Club Orange remains the most popular flavour.

The slogan of Club is "The bits inside make it come alive" and it is seen on Club bottles and commercals. Club Orange accounts for over one third of the carbonated orange sold in Ireland. It is so popular a drink with Irish people that it is one of the most sought after products by Irish expatriates. In this way it shares a hallowed status alongside Tayto crisps, Barry's Tea, and Denny's bacon and sausages.

Having never sampled the delights of Club Orange (other than this biscuit), i'd have to say Fanta wins out at this time... but that could all change in an instant. Watch this space for updates!

I love the European Fanta! Here in the U.S. though Orange Fanta and the other Fanta flavors are just plain orange soda with no pulp in it. The closest thing I have found to it here in L.A. is Orangina. I have never had Club Orange.

I've never drunk Club Orange, because there is no such drink in our favourite Bulgaria. But I live Fanta - Orange very much.
