Punjab is a region that is partly in India and partly in Pakistan, so India has a state that is called Punjab and Pakistan has a province that is also called Punjab and people in these regions speak Punjabi among other languages. The people in the Pakistani Punjab are almost all Muslims (like in entire Pakistan) and the people in the Indian Punjab are of different religions, I think the majority are Hindus and there are also many Muslims and some Christians and another religion there is Sikhism, it was founded there and has its center there.
