I notice from many answers regarding religion that many of you can be crude with your questions and answers. This goes for everyone regardless of your belief.

Absolutely! I am me, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But I probably don't count in this poll, because I'm not "crude" in my questions or answers. It is a great question though. Some honest answers would be nice to read, don't think alot of honesty will come from this question though.

i would hope that you wouldnt find any of my answers crude, but I do tell the truth, hopefully in ways that the questioner can understand it.

I am outspoken about my beliefs in "real life" , but only when asked, just as I do on here.

No, I'm absolutly not as outspoken in real life as I am here. I began using this site as a testing ground for real life, trying to get the confidence to be more outspoken in real life from what I read/learn/type here.

I don't believe in being crude, I do, however speak out to defend my faith, as I think everyone on this site does regardless of whatever that faith may be. I am also just as vocal about everything else I am passionate about in my life; my family, for example. If anyone was to attack them...watch out!!

I hope that most are not as crude in real face to face meetings than they are on here....if they are it says a lot about where we are as a society.....then again if they need to be anonymous to say what they feel what does that say about their beliefs.

Question that just came to my mind? If People feel they can say whatever they want on here because it is safe and anonymous, is that an abuse of the freedom of speech right? You have the right to say what you want but shouldn't you stand behind what you say? Face the audience so to speak.

I'm very outspoken about what I believe if the subject comes up. I don't try to force anything on anyone. I'm in a position where I have to give my opinion a great deal. I can't do that giving them my spiritual perspective on it. That's just who I am. I don't just tell people what they want to hear, I tell them what the word of God says. They know how I am, so if they come to me then it means that's what they want to hear, the truth!

Hmmm...I don't believe I have been rude or crude, but then you aren't thinking of me specifically, are you? ; )

As to how I am on here, yes this is pretty much me. Whimsically obscure, easily amused, and more than a little charmed by oddities. (But much older and heavier than my avatar allows.) Spending far too much time playing games on my computer. But then isn't the internet nearly heaven for we introverts?

Seriously, I do believe you have a valid question. I hope we are not all this nasty in real life, but I suspect more of us are than we realize.
Edit: I tend not to share unless asked. Thanks for asking.

Definitely. Anyone who has spent a single day with me knows I'm an unbeliever. For example, I'm a teacher, and I'd say all of my students know I don't believe in God. Of course I'm not actually talking about it in the classroom, or trying to challenge my Christian students. In fact, I keep religion OUT of the classroom. But everybody knows where I stand.

Only in response to comment!!
I never actually instigate any discussion on religion, or politics, (esp in a bar) (very dangerous pastime)!
But I just cant resist shutting up some sanctimonious religious nut who is trying to 'convert' an unbeliever!
I know I shouldnt because its so easy, like taking candy from a baby, but I cant resist!!
Perhaps you should pray for me??

I'm pretty shy in person. On here no one knows who I am so I feel free to express myself politly of course. I'm not one of the rude crude ones. I can pretend I'm braver then I really am.
