No --Jesus is not God, never was--never will be.
The trinity doctrine is man-made and it had it's beginning in ancient Babylon, The Babylonians did not worship the one true God, but triads of gods, shown in historical pictures having three heads.
People should consider what the Bible really teaches about the identity of God and his Son and God's active force or power.
Here is something to think about also:
Jesus was dead for the better part of three days. If Jesus is God and was dead for that long--then who was ruling in heaven all that time? If the holy spirit is also God, then it was dead too. So there would have been no God alive to pray to those three days, no God to do anything for anyone. Satan could have taken over the entire universe since "God" was dead. Satan is powerful and could have caused complete chaos for the earth, worse than we see now, if there was no God more powerful to prevent him from doing so.
This Scripture also shows that Jesus cannot be God--""No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Mark 13:32 ) NIV
If Jesus were God who knows all things, then he would know the day and hour, but he doesn't because Jesus is not God. And the holy spirit is not even mentioned.
Christendom has misled so many people by teaching them such a false pagan doctrine. If only people could come to know the true God (Psalms 83:18) and who he really is. Jesus tried to tell people about his Father and that they should worship his Father alone.
Two reasons people believe in such doctrines are found at
2 Timothy 4:3-4--"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables." and at John 12:39-40--"Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again: “ He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.”
I hope this answer helps.

It's really important that our understanding of God doesn't come from our own heads (in the same way our understanding of the moon shouldn't be made up in our heads) but rather is built on what he's told and shown us in the Bible. Otherwise we're going to end up with a made up God. God is a paradox that can't fully fit in our heads - but I'm ok with that because God is bigger than my head. At the same time though it's pretty easy to outline the bible's view of God. Three points: - There is 1 God - The Son is God, the Father is God, the Holy Spirit is God - The Son is NOT the Father, the Father is NOT the Holy Spirit, and the HS is NOT the Son. There is 1 God (Deut 6:4 and Mark 12:29 - 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.') The Son is God - John 10:27: (jesus speaking) " 'My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.' The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, 'I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?; The Jews answered him, 'It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.' " Heaps of others too as someone else has posted. the Father is God - Mark, etc :p the Holy Spirit is God - Jn 4:24 'God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth'. Or 2 Cor 3:17 'Now the Lord is the Spirit,..' 3 distinct beings, 1 God. It's important to point out that the distinctions are not in their value but in their relationship to each other (they even call each other 'Father', 'Son' and 'Spirit')! The Son is obedient to the Father, the Father glorifies the Son and the Spirit works pointing people to Jesus. This is a good passage for seeing these dynamics going in: John 8:12-59 (note the people's reaction at the end to Jesus' 'I AM' statement - they recognise what he's saying.) Biblical Christianity says that the Son is God, the Father is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, and that this is the way it has always been. Hard to understand, but this is the God of the bible. The reason I believe this is because God verified it by raising Jesus from the dead! That is the real cornerstone and foundation of my belief :) Cheers, Peter

John 1:1 In the beginging was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
As Christians we believe that the word made flesh was in the person of Jesus Christ the only begotten of the father. If we hold that he is the word made flesh... look at what verse one says again.... and the word was God.
Then if the word was God... and the word was made flesh (Jesus Christ) then yes Jesus is God. God the Father is Spirit and must be worshipped in Spirit... The Holy Ghost is Spirit.... Jesus Christ is the Physical manifestation of God.
God bless you

We worship one God in Trinity and Trinity in Unity, neither confounding the Persons nor dividing the substance. For there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Ghost; but the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, is all one, the glory equal, the majesty co-eternal. The Father is made of none, neither created nor begotten; the Son is of the Father alone, not made, nor created, but begotten; the Holy Ghost is of the Father and of the Son, neither made, nor created, nor begotten, but proceeding.
