It's better to use a comb, but you should be careful. Your hair is most vulnerable when it's wet and can can break easily, so be gentle.

It's actually better to use a pick to get rid of the knots and tangles instead of a comb or a brush, which can break your hair more easily. But if you don't have a pick, then use the bigger teethed end of your comb.

For people with wavy to straight hair It is best to use a comb, but don't be rough. Wet hair is easily stretched and broken.

If you have really curly hair, just use your fingers and add in whatever your favorite gel or hair product is. Combing and brushing will just make your hair frizzy.

It's infinitely better to comb, starting at the ends of your hair and VERY gently working up to the roots. If you use a conditioner or cream rinse, your hair should be easier to comb.
Never, never brush wet hair; it can BREAK the hair!

Use a wide-tooth comb. Those are the best. You can find them at Target, Walmart and almost all of your local drugstores.

comb.
but it's much better not to brush/comb it at all when it's wet as it can just cause breakage.
or loads more hair would fall out as your hair isn't as strong when wet.
i never do anything to my hair, just when i style it.
it is so much more healthier.
