I am not one to believe everything that I see on TV or in movies but I had seen many instances where a character on the show was busted for transporting liquor across state lines. Does that apply to homemade liquor or any liquor in general?

In any state that I've heard of, there is no problem if its for personal use. It becomes an issue when people are transporting to another state to sell and avoid or lower taxes on the liqour.

The sheriff in Washington County, Utah, just arrested a couple for bringing in cases of beer for a party ( illegal transport across state lines ) The vehicle was also impounded as it was used in the 'crime' but I believe the law varies state to state. Note: they were not reselling, just bringing it in for a wedding reception.
