Alright, I'm going out on a limb here. I am asking for help with romantic proposal ideas. I would like to propose this December, and I know that she wants to be alone when I propose. Please give me some ideas, or about your dream proposal, Thanks.

Think of her interests.... does she like ice skating? sleigh rides? romantic dinner at home? fun and games? puzzles?

You could take her interests to make a "perfect day" and then top it of with a wonderful intimate proposal.
You could take her on a sleigh ride and propose.
You could have a romantic dinner at home and propose.
You could have her do a "scavenger hunt" of sorts (one clue leads to the next until she gets to either you with the ring or the ring hidden somewhere)
You could buy her a specially made puzzle (dont do too many pieces, that would become a pain) that has picture of a wedding couple and in the picture somewhere it says "Will you marry me" she is likely to figure it out before it is finished but it will still be a surprise - and if planned right you can give it as a christmas gift and insist she (or you both) put it together that night)

She is going to love ANYTHING you come up with, simply because YOU did it and YOU put the effort into it to make it special for HER.

Congrats and good luck!

ok here are some ideas send her on a scavenger hunt hide things around town like items you would have at a picnic and with each item have a clue to where the next item is then at the end have her meet you some where private yet romatic like a parjk at night that has a gazebo or something like that then have a nice picnic and then write her a poem read it to her and at the end ask her to marry you.

or

write your proposal inthe snow if front of her house and you be sitting on the porch witha rose andthe ring

or
have a snow ball fight just the 2 of you and have the ring int he middle of one of the snow balls

while she's at work or out of the house build a snow man and put the ringbox in his hand and tell her to look at the snowman that you built and then ask her

On a cloudy night take her out star gazing. After a few laughs, kisses, and happy moments, say that you see a star in the sky (even if you don't see one). When she asks where, point to it with the ring obviously on the end of your finger and say, "right there."

Relax together in a bubble bath with candles all over the bathroom... there's nothing more romantic for an intimate proposal.

While decorating the Christmas tree, put the ring around a glass ornament and hand it to her to hang on the tree.

those are some ideas just have fun adn congrats in advance

First, good job on looking for help on this! Women can be so finecky! The main thing is choosing an environment or place that she likes or loves, and it's better if you both do.

My dream proposal actually happened! I was completely surprised and caught off guard, which is the BEST thing to do to a girl.

My fiance and I were in Myrtle Beach for a week's vacation last Spring. It was a cold day (as it no doubtedly will be in December!), but he encouraged me to take a walk on the beach to look for shells. I bundled up, grouched about the cold, but agreed. Little did I know...as we were picking shells he would find one and ask, "How about this one?" This continued for a good 40 minutes...as we walked. At one point, while my back was turned, he asked me, "How about this one?" When I turned around, he was on one knee with the ring box open. He called me by my full name (very romantic and lovely) and said "I love you with all of my heart. Will you be my wife?" I cried (as girls will, including yours!) and jumped on him saying yes a hundred times over.

Now, even if it isn't exactly like this, the key is the surprise. Not having any idea it's coming is THE BEST! Since it is the winter, and picking shells isn't the 'norm', you might make it a point to tell her that you want to make a lunch or dinner date with her every week, just because you love her and want to spend more quality time. Take her out a few times to places you both like, or new places. One week, go somewhere near the beach (if there is one in your area...I forgot about that). After eating ask her to take a walk with you. Then be sincere, and ask her!

My friend got engaged while hiking (her fiance and she are both outdoorsy). He chose a weekend that they had planned to go away to Maine anyway. He took her to the top of a lovely peak, got down on his knee an proposed. She was stunned!

Just remember to give her the opportunity to look nice on the day you ask her. For some reason, we want to look extra lovely on the day that we get engaged...and married of course!

I hope this helps, and congratulations! You have to come back and post how you did it!

so nice of you to put some though n2 it....way better than my "hey so you wanna get married!" lol!

Ok here's what I would have loved. You are putting ornaments on the christmans tree, and you could be handing them to her while she puts um on. Put the ring on one of those little hooks that you hang the ornaments with, and hand it to her when shes not really paying attention, then she will realize it and then you get your fireworks!

you could spell it out in the back yard or something with christmas lights, or candles, I get all exctied about lights and all!

Or, you could dress up a santa, and ask her what she wants for christmas, and then give her an early present!

My fave is the ornament one tho, I think in the snow would be great to, but I live in Mississippi, so its not really an option here, so I had to dream up alternate versions! lol! congrats and good luck!

My dream proposal would be a carriage ride thur New York City in the snow with the street lights lit up snuggled up with my man. That would be a very intimate close moment. It would be perfect. But at this point I would take a text message proposal! Good Luck.

My fiance just proposed to me on October 8th. We were ALONE also, so I can relate. He took me on a picnic to our favorite spot. No one was around, so he popped the question after we ate. It was so romantic. I don't know where you live, so not sure if the climate calls for a picnic, but maybe do an indoor picnic, have some wine, and burn a cd with all her favorite love songs!? Pop the question when she's relaxed and is giving you her full attention. Worked for us because I said yes;)

Okay the having dinner thing is just too old...Do you watch the amazing race? Have your gf have a day of adventure..Like start with going to the first place you met her then your first date, then followed by a massage, then going to a hotel where a room is waiting for her..in the room a dress is ready for her and tell her to meet you at a beach or poolside..then have some music there...then propose after desert....

This happened to one of my friends...She knew that her now fiancee would be proposing but she didn't know when. She and her now fiancee were sitting on the couch one evening watching a movie. She fell asleep and woke up a little while later. When she woke up she felt something funny on her left ring finger. She looked down and saw the ring. He proposed right there.

That was definitely a sweet way do it, esp if your gf wants to be alone when you propose. Let us know what happens!! I love stuff like this :) Good luck and congrats ahead of time!!

My friend proposed to his girlfriend by setting up and staging a whole bunch of clues leading to a bunch of surprises. Like, he went out to dinner and had arranged for the waiter to give them tickets to a boat cruise on the river, etc. All sorts of time was put into it, but he made it look like all these events were just lucky winnings, and in the end they ended up at a hotel where he had arranged for the staff to light candles and have roses in the room, where he proposed to her. It was elaborate and unforgettable!!!
