God created spirit persons to live with him in heaven long before the earth was ever thought of. Some turned wicked read Genesis 6; jude 6 Tells how they came down from heaven and lived with women. Many scriptures talks about these spirit persons called angels. Morning stars of son's of god.
Rev 12:7 tells how war broke out in heaven and micheal and his angels battled with Satan and his angels and they were cast out of heaven and down to this earth. Mad knowing they had a short period of time. Those are the Ghosts. They are pretending to be dead persons. they are not.
During judgement day there is tobe a resurrection of people.
This is not judgement day, what they are actually getting in touch with is these wicked angels who sinned in Noah's day.
Ecc.9:5 says the living are conscience they will die but the dead are conscience of nothing at all.

No. A soul goes back and forth between incarnations and the state when they are out of a body. When they are out of the body, they can still contact, or hover around places where they lived or people they knew, or places they are going to incarnate to, or people they will be born to. The Soul to be born to someone often hovers around the mother before incarnation, and enters the body usually at the point of birth. Although, sometimes it may incarnate the foetus. There is absolutely nothing silly or spooky about this. It is just another dimension.

No. Ghosts are imaginary - they are figments of your imagination only.

The Christians used to tech about a place called Limbo where the souls of unbaptised children go when they die. Lo and Behold, the Pope was about to change this teaching and remove it from dogma.....so, what happens to all those poor souls that have been in Limbo since the idea first came around?? Will they cease to exist?

Probably, as they are all make beleive as well....

This question is hard to answer because it makes a lot of assumptions that no one has been able to verify. Also, if you are asking from a certain religious perspective it would make answering the question much easier.

For example, there are some Christian groups that don't believe in ghost and some that do. If you're looking for what your particular religion (or someone else's religion) believes, respond back with a specific one.

Ghosts are souls who for one reason or another have not moved on yet, or have (less frequently) returned for some reason.

I am not sure what gives people this "ghosts are really demons" nonsense, because that is absurd.

there are indeed ghosts, both positive and negative ones. it is not something all that unusual, and usually not that harmful.

There is alot of controversy about this because it's so unknown. Most people believe that the human mind id powerful enough that some people actually believe they are still alive, and that would be a 'ghost'. I believe there is a hell for sure. If you are meant to go ther, God will make sure of it.

I'm glad someone actually thought of a thought provoking question. Good one. One time in the bible, King Saul resurrected Samuel and he came up to talk to Saul. I would say that's grounds for Samuel being a "ghost" at that moment. I don't think Samuel was in hell though since he followed God's decrees and warned others to do so as well. So then, who knows where ghosts rest... whether they in hell, heaven, or lingering, dunno!

I read once that the ghosts that people see or feel are like photos or expressions of those that have passed- like a history, because perhaps there passing was sad or violent. Others contact us when they have passed- their world or dimension is not so far from ours you know. Those that actually contact seem to not show themselves, the ones you see or hear etc I think are "recordings" of the past.....

I think that ghost are the souls of people who do not know that they are dead, or missed the path to judgement, and walk amongst the living aimless until judgement day.

Ghosts are the souls of people who are not ready to transition away from this world. They are harmless.
