How much is too much to pay for a haircut. I just made an appointment with a place I have never been before and haircuts start at $36 for women.

Does that sound right?

That sounds way to high for just a hair cut. If shampooing and styling is involved then that still sounds a little high but if she's good then it will be worth it.

I work at Fantastic Sams in St. Louis, MO. They are all individually owned. Our haircuts are $13.95. We do haircuts, coloring, highlighting, eyebrow waxing, and styling. They are all various prices of course, but I think it depends on you the individual where do you want to go. Do you want to go there because you think they can do a better job than some one at a faster paced salon? I work with people who have been there a long time and they can easily take their clients to the type of salon that your'e going to and make really good money. But they don't because they are comfortable where their at. The point is salons set their own prices and sometimes it's higher because the stylist has more experience. You can go to a Great Clips or Custom Cuts or whatever you have in your area, but it depends on where you want to go. Try asking some friends who their stylist is. Hope this helps

wow yeah its a bit high but depends where u get them done, ur best best is to stick to a smaller shop than in the city, just be careful, i did that once and i had only an inch taken off and end up paying 24 bucks, plus some saloons ask u pay more with a shampoo so clean and leave it natural before u go, some good shops i go to here is regis, but they tend to be a bit expensive, you can also try sally's beauti supply, or cut n curl good luck sweetie

depends on where you are.
in big cities like NY, Chicago or LA yes thats average price,
smaller places are less.
I usually pay $16 for a mens haircut, but just found a place for $12.00, which is located 1 block away. here in las vegas

There are place where it costless. You could go to a beauty school and have a graduating student do it for about 10.00 dollars.

Its expensive...I would not personally pay that much unless it includes a wash and a blow dry...and then its an average price
