Well if you live in a place where winter is on the way they may all migrate out....

IF not or if they are not migratory.... then Oh boy

If they are of the Dove or Crow variety it will be tough,, especially Crows...

Owls, anything that moves works good at first... but they will come back...

If you are feeding other birds.. have feeders out STOP.. leave n food out at all

The helium balloon thing is grreat and much cheaper than owls and they will blow with the beeze changing all the time... just be sure to secure them well AND remove them oncec popped or damaged so other birds or kids dont pick them up and get hold of them.

Also ..... Plastic grrocery bags.. again secured WELL wuill blow in the breeze and make a noise that NO bird likes... this even gets rid of unwanted waterfowl places...

Glad to hear you are wantig a safe way to do this an not trying poisons etc... Be patient and Persistant with whatever you choose.

I promise you the birds will be persistant as well!

Good Luck

You can get plastic owls at Walmart. Get the kind that have bobbing heads. That way you won't have to move them as often.

There are lots of other products on the market to get rid of birds harmlessly. Do a quick search. Products include sounds and strobe type lights as well as spikey things to keep the birds from landing. Also, there are wind sock eagles that might work better than the plastic owls.

We bought mylar helium balloons shaped like jack'o'lanterns (big yellow eyes). We put them around the deck to fighten a peahen away. It worked well. The only draw back is that the balloons only rise if the temperature is above 60 degrees.

What kind of birds? Perhaps there is a mesh or surface you could put down to make it uncomfortable for them to land. Plastic owls will only work until the birds notice it hasn't moved in days and isn't a threat.
