The answer is the oldest "diet" in the world and it is guaranteed that you will lose weight.

Burn more calories than you take in. That's it.

No - I am 53 and have never been on a diet. I eat well but eat in moderation and exercise at least 4-5 days a week. I don't eat any sweets or drink soft drinks of any kind - so that helps a lot. I do have to keep things in moderation because my family tends to be a little on the heavy side. I have watched my mother and sister try every diet and expensive weight loss program in the book. They do gain it all back plus some every time they go on one of these. I think the real answer is moderation and exercise. Not a quick fix but a lifestyle you get used to.

The only effective way to take weight off and keep it off is to NOT diet. You have to do a lifestyle change. If people would evaluate themselves, review the results, then make changes where necessary they would find they don't need a "diet". We come from the finish your plate generation so we don't stop eating when we're full. That's one of the biggest problems. The rest of it is we don't realize how much food we consume in one day compared to the little amount of physical activity. I always recommend people to write day everything they eat in an entire day. It will keep you from overeating as often. My friend put this plan into action for herself and went from a size 22 to a six in two years. With no diet and she didn't join a trendy gym either. It can be done!!!

There is a new approach and I am helping people in all stages of their weight loss.

First, you have to get people motivated and energized. You get bored and depressed and lazy when you start a diet. I start people with Stack Body Tune Up system and Advanced Cell Therapy energy drink. With these two, people now have the energy and the motivation. Within the first 10 days after weight is lost, people are ready to move to the second phase.

Second, after a few pounds have dropped and they have the energy, exercise is introduced at a minimal level. As they are able and their energy is increased due to weight loss, exercise is increased.

Third, after enough pounds for mobility are lost, exercise is picked up another notch. It's picked up because people are full of energy and lighter and by now, they want to help with the process.

Fourth, when a person gets close to their target weight, then the Stack Body Tune Up is weaned off and totally on the Advanced Cell Therapy energy drink.

Fifth, when they reach their target, the person maintains their weight through the habits and attitudes that are learned in this process. People have a new understanding on what full is.

This is what is working and people are keeping the weight off.

If I can be of further assistance, let me know.

Yes, I have been doing the low carb thing for 2 years. I would lose 20lbs & then gain it back. It is always up and down for me.
I just now figured out that Im not overweight and I need to stop dieting because gaining and losing is not healthy. Just exercise and dont over eat and you'll be fine. It would suck having to go through your entire life on a diet!

There is, its called life style changes. Its a diet plan that you get on, but never get off. So you lose weight untill your happy, then you stil eat healthy but you dont lose more weight. Heres how it works. Calculate how many calories you eat, and reduce that number by 200 each week untill you get down to about 1200-1600 calories. And excercise! Then when you loose the weight you want, you eat enough calories to maintain your current weight!

Wow, can't believe in all these answers, I don't think a single person mentioned this critical word: exercise!

Look, you can't improve your metabolism by dieting. In fact, you generally slow & hurt your metabolism. The only way to have long-term improvement is by speeding up your metabolism. To do that, you need to eat well and add some lean muscle to your frame.

Exercise will improve your calorie burn short-term, and adding muscle will speed up your metabolism for the long-term. The net effect is that by turning into a food burning engine, you will slim down and look & feel better!
