It depends on which area you want to improve the most. If you're only interested in moderate strength gain, but cardio is your focus and you're doing more than 20 min cardio, I've heard from trainers at the gym that it's better to do that after lifting weights. But you still should warm up with 5-10 min of cardio before weight lifting. But if strength and cardio are equally important, a great way to combine them and save yourself time is by doing strength training with little rest time (i.e .30 seconds) between sets.

I heard to do cardio after weight training because your muscles release toxins (lactic acid ect.) when you lift and the cardio gets your blood circulating and removes the toxins. Plus this way you can go home and eat something right after cardio!

But really I like to lift after because I enjoy lifting more than cardio and I have to get the worst over with first!

You'll find more different answers for this one as there are people, as everyone has a different idea, but I'll give you my professional opinion. I would advise cardio first, the main reason being that it gets your muscles warmed up nice, gets them ready to lift the heavy load. Beginning weight training with no warm up is dangerous to the muscles, to load them up with weight is not good for "cold" muscle fibers, it's easier for them to tear and be injured.

If you do cardio first then you will keep your heart rate up which will burn more calories well lifting weights.

Even if you do cardio last make sure you do 2-5 min cardio warmup first.
