Allergy symptoms change with age. The good news is that most children outgrow their food allergies by three years of age. The tomato- allergic toddler may become the preschooler who can safely indulge in ketchup. Children tend to outgrow their sensitivity to milk and soy products; other food allergies, such as nuts and shell fish, tend to persist.

The incidence of food allergies may be on the rise because more people are eating processed foods containing preservatives and additives. It's no wonder that the body rebels against all the foreign substances added to food in factories.

Many people outgrow food allergies. Other allergies can last your whole life, although they may be less severe and more severe at different points in your life.

You can always get an allergy test done, but if your going to try something to see, make sure someone is with you just incase...my husband has a severe allergy to apples but just recently tired some fresh from a tree and was able to eat it. But he still can't eat the store bought ones.

yes it is possible, but, your body chemistry can change from anything... just going outside and breathing the filthy air can change your body and make you allergic to red food dye or whatever.
i mean... your body changes and what you eat changes it and the air and light and even the radio signals in the air all effect your body.

anyway, if you are developing new allergies, you should ask a doctor or someone that might know something, but, when your body does weird thing you should ask a doctor cuz they go to school for years and they may know something that a normal person dont

hey, if you are allergic to any food, DO NOT EAT IT without proper support.

MANY PEOPLE DIE FROM FOOD ALLERGIES

they just drop dead like flies...

you could try a small bite i mean SMALL but you gotta ask your doctor first and they should do testing.
if you must try it, try a very small taste,
a small amount could kill you tho so i wouldnt try it.

if you really want it now, just get artificial flavor but i wouldnt trust it.

go to the doctor and get allergy testing before trying to eat that stuff

When I was a baby, I was allergic to all milk products. Now I can drink them with no problem at all, but I can't eat raw bananas. My mother, had no allergies when she was little, but developed an allergy to nuts when she was in her late teens. At one time, her favorite candy bar was Payday, now if I were to kiss her cheek after eating one, she'd be on her way to the ER. She also developed an allergy to raw citrus, when I remember her drinking pineapple juice all the time when I was young.

Yes they change.
Sometimes they go away at puberty, but some people find they get new ones to replace the ones that are gone. (I did)
Others go away for a few years and then come back.
Find out how you reacted to bananas when you were a child (hives, rash, diarrhea), and if the reaction was not severe (didn't affect your breathing), then give them a try...If you suffered an anaphylactic attack however, I would suggest that you do not eat bananas or carrots EVER

Yes, food allergies can chance with age. In fact, all allergies can change. Some may become more severe. Others may subside. Sometimes, they even go away completely.

Yup, I as a kid and most of my teen life now, I was allergy free (except for when i was little to some ear medicine). During spring, Tree pollen was 4x higher than it has ever been, you could litterly see the yellow pollen flying around. I got soooo sick from it that I thought something was really wrong. My sister has had allergies all her life but me, not as much but I do have them. Givin this isnt food, but its all the same.

Yes, they change. I wasn't allergic to raw nuts when I was younger. Now I am. I can only eat boiled/roasted nuts. Same with raw carrots. Not even carrot juice. Now it is only boiled carrots. I haven't experienced allergies of younger years going away.

Absolutely! My best friend used to be allergic to peanuts, milk and all kinds of other foods in the first grade. She eats all of it now and is fine!! i would suggest asking your doctor to check you out and see if you're still allergic. I know exactly what you mean about chocolate covered banana!!!
