I am going to lose 100 pounds. I am going going on a diet that will hopefully keep me eating at a set time. I like to snack all day. I have a nervous condition that keeps at least one part of my body moving, usually my mouth with food in it. I am being serious. If my mouth isn't moving, it is my foot or my hand, etc. I usually don't eat "meals". Instead, I usually just keep snacking all day (sunflower seeds, cereal, etc). Anything that is small and has many pieces. Any suggestions to help break the habit of constant snacking?

Try eating 5-6 small healthy meals a day. This will help speed up your metabolism and help with your weight loss. This should also keep you from having the urge to snack. If that doesn't help, try chewing sugar-free gum. To help with your weight loss try reading the 3 hour diet by Jorge Cruise. I have never tried it, but I have heard good reviews on it and I saw him on the Today show helping Al Roker lose 25 pounds. Hope this helps.

Try to start your day with a healthy breakfast; boiled eggs & wheat toast. You can eat 6 small meals a day as long as they are healthy porportions with protein & a good carb. Chicken, fish with veggies is a good meal....Protein helps curb your appetite.

You need to replace your eating habit with something else. Maybe when you want to eat (and it's not one of your 6 meals) jog in place for a few minutes, stretch, keep your body moving. Find something you can replace your old habit with that is more postive. Keep gum in your mouth to also help from snacking too much. Keep a water bottle with you at all times, drink plenty of water!

If you want to lose 100 pounds you need to keep to a very strict eating regimen and exercise daily. You have to change your daily lifestyle if you want a thinner you! Good luck, it's hard work but very worth it!!

DONT snacking constantly is healthy! it keeps your motabolism going, here is what I suggest. Plan out what you would eat for breakfast or lunch, Split them in half and eat the other half for snack. Also snack on foods like celery that have so few calories you burn more eating them than they actually contain. Water also helps keep you full!

They say that models lose weight by drinking ice water when they are hungry. That never worked for me .. but what DOES work for me for snacking .. and has the same idea .. is to buy a box or two of Popsicles that are SUGAR FREE .. they are made with Splenda and have only 5 calories per popsicle. I eat 10 of them .. it fills me up pretty well. Also, pickles are only 5 calories a piece and they tend to curb my appitite as well. Good Luck ! :)

try drinking water, most people don't drink enough water that will occupy your mouth and if that isn't helping try exercising, take a walk, do jumping jacks, deep breathing or Yoga. That will occupy your body and help you lose weight at the sametime! Thats how i quit smoking! everytime i wanted a cigarette I took a walk until the urge went away! I lost over 50 pounds that way and have kept it off! Good luck to you!

If you're going to lose 100 pounds you definitely need to break the cycle of snacking constantly.
It is mainly psychological tho. You don't need to snack all day long. You need to make a plan and stick to it. Include in this plan some exercise too. Don't rely soley on reducing your caloric intake or fat content to make you lose weight

Good luck to you.

Just do something with your hands.... Instead of eating draw... build... type.. something... And instead of just snacking all day... try to make yourself sit down and eat a meal. If you start getting in the habit of eating meals, it'll just come as second nature.

Go for a walk. It helps you burn more calories and stop you from snacking. Also, drinking water/tea will help you feel full. And chewing gum keeps your mouth moving without much calories.

Replace the sunflower seeds and cereal or whatever with raw veggies instead. You can eat tons of veggies and they have like almost no calories.

Try eating healthier snacks it may cause you to not eat as much because it doesn't taste as good. Go and buy a bag of baby carrots and see how long you munch on them.
