I was on birth control for 9 years...I have used condoms and spermiside but they irritate me badly...So I took Birth Control (no condom , no spermiside) everyday at 8pm never miss a pill...When I desided to have a baby I stopped taken the birth control and 9 months after I stopped taken the birth control I got pregnant...now that my daughter is here Ive been taking the Birth Control again same time 8pm every day for 6 months now and never miss a pill cause I set the alarm on my cell to remind me....My doctor said she hasnt had a patient get pregnant off birth control if used correctly....I am a little scared cause everyone around me says that once you have a baby your system is all open and you can easly get pregnant again even if on pill...and I am not ready for another baby...can you get pregnant off the pill if used correctly everyday. and when do you ovalate.

the pill is a great form of birth control. especially if used correctly. The chances of you getting pregnant are very few. The effective ness of the pill is about 99.8 percent. So do not stress. I have never heard that if you have had a kid that it is easier. I do not believe that. The pill is a hormone that does not allow your body to concieve. Not something that just blockes sperm from getting in.

I had my first son while on the pill as i did not take it correctly. After he was born i went back on the pill and took it faithfully every night at 9 o'clock, (learned that lesson). I Did not get pregnant while on the pill this time. And when we did decided to have another baby(12-18 mos later) i did not get pregnant right away it took me a year or so of being off the pill, so my kids are just over 3 and a half years apart. The pill is effective when taken properly!!

It is possible to get pregnant while still on Birth Control Pills, but it is VERY rare. It is way more effective than any other type of Device for preventing pregnancy.

But nobody can 100% guarantee that you will not get pregnant while on the Pill.

The pill is very highly effective. Your are slightly more likely to get pregnant after you have previously been pregnant, but the pill is still the most effective and safe form of birth control available. Don't worry.

no birth control a woman uses is 100%. So, without taking the extra precautions then you can get pg. The odds are higher, but it can happen. You ovulate 10-14 days after you period. I have heard that too after having a baby, but not sure how true it is since i have never asked a Dr. on that... If you are that worried call your doctor and ask...

Most effective birth control is supposed to 98% - 99% effective only. So you have a 1%-2% chance of getting pregnant if you are using it right.

Not if you are taking the pill. Doesn't matter if you have had a child or not. Remember, the pill itself isn't 100% foolproof either even if taken correctly.

you won't get pregnant once you get back on the pills again even after having a baby, you may have accidental pregnancy, but the chances are slim.

you're more likely to get pregnant on the pill after one pregnancy, but it's still a minimal chance. I wouldn't worry about it.

If used correctly, it's a 1 in 10000 chance that you'll get pregnant, whether or not you've had a kid.
