I have tried the Atkins diet with no success. I know that I eat not because I am hungry, but because I like food. I mean, I am seriously addicted to food! I am going to lose 100 pounds and wanted to know what would be the best way to do that? I think the low glycemic index diet is the best for me because I am addicted to bad sugars, but what do you think? I usually don't eat more than 1200 calories in a day or more than 100 grams of fat. I do, however, eat at least twice as many carbs in a day as you are supposed to eat. Any suggestions?

Ok. I can't stand when people are concerned with calories and carbs and counting grams of fat. Move on. What you should do is not STRESS about it, and take a daily walk. Eat only when you are hungry, and pick healthy stuff. Counting grams of this and that is just a stressful thing to do and in your mind it means you are denying yourself what you want or need. So stop it! Eat cereal for breakfast, a sandwich or salad for lunch and a reasonable dinner. Take a daily walk, or jog, and maybe an exercise video. I lost 50 pounds doing Tae Bo alone. Good luck to you! Remember, just relax, and enjoy life. You'll feel less stressed, and then be more successful.

Dont go by the book honey.

This worked for me- Dont eat after seven, and everything in moderation. I cut out soda and cut down (note completely- i love pizza and pasta, rice, etc.. too much) carbs. I drank a tall glass or bottle of water before i ate, and walked for an hour in the evening 4 nights a week and did 30 minutes of denise austin tapes on the weekend.
** dont give up foods you like or deprive yourself- if you like sweets, fine- just dont over do it

go on a low carb diet. u can eat almost all the food u want as long as u watch ur carbs. no more than 2-5 carbs per serving, and probably 20 carbs per day or less total.

Start smoking and washing down diet pills with a Red Bull every day... OK, that works, but it will put you in your grave early. Try this:
-Don't count calories, just spread your eating out over 5-6 meals in a day.
-Eat less fat and sugar and drink more water.
-Start drinking green tea every day.
-Take a multi-vitamin every day.
-Walk 3-4 miles or Do 20+ minutes of cardio before breakfast most morning.
-Work out with weights every other day.
-Be consistent.
