I'm currently walking about 30 minutes every day during lunch, but I'd like to add some exercises that will boost the calorie burn. Any ideas?

A great way to burn calories (if you don't mind the hard work) is stair stepping. Its the same as walking or running only you're lifting your body weight 6 inches with every step. Try it, it'll be really hard at first but you get addicted to how good it makes you feel! Start out at about 10 or 15 minutes and build up.

Here's two suggestions: (1) This isn't a practical answer but if you belong to a gym, the Stairmaster will do it every time. Or (2) Make sure your walks are power walks and try to bump up the time by fifteen minutes (if you can spare it in the daytime). Or...do your thirty minutes at lunch and find some other time to add fifteen more minutes in the evening. You can do the additional fifteen minutes to a walk aerobics tape (Leslie Sansone). She's a bit boring, but for fifteen additional minutes you can get in an extra mile. You can buy her stuff on her web site or through QVC. She has a variety of power walks and like I said, if you add on one mile daily or even three days a week, you can tolerate the monotony!!! Her walk aerobic tapes minimize impact to your body. Good luck to you. By the way, I think the 30 minutes each day you are doing is amazing and it will give you results!

If you have time AFTER work, increase your workout to at least "running or jogging" for about an extra 10-15 minutes. Constantly staying active, even around the house burns calories.
