Your not reading the question correctly. I never said anything about judgement or that I love them any less. Sin is sin, and I'ts not that I'm singling out homosexuality, from any other sin, because the Bible says that all sin stinks in the nostrils of God. Its in the Bible that no man is to lay with a man and no woman is to lay with a woman. You can say that you believe in God and not believe in everything in the Bible, because it say not to add or take a way form what the bible says. I love everybody. And Yes i sin daily no one is perfect, we all fall short of his glory. But premeditated sin is different from meditated sin. Get a grip people the time is near get you house in order. Just because we have gay networks, and same sex marriges, and the worlds says it's alright to be gay it's not, it is a sin. And you will be held accountable for it because you were told. I just hope and pray that before you die you will let Christ into your life, because it's to late when your burning.

I AGREE WITH YOU .. ITS ABOUT THE SIN , NOT THE INDIVIDUAL... YOU LOOK BEYOND THAT AND SEE THE NEEDS YOU CAN MEET, ( SPIRITUALLY ... ONLY IF LED)

I don't see the sense behind preaching to them. They know what the Bible says about it being sinful.
You might be interested to read The Message Bible translation of Romans (the only New Testament mention of homosexual behavior). It implies that God dislikes the action but mainly because it's done without love, only for lust. I would guess that many of the gay people you know are acting more out of love overall.
I'm curious, do you act the same way toward relatives with alchohol problems, unruly children, and those that eat pork? There are tons of sins listed in the Old Testament right along side homosexuality. Why single out this one sin to be so concerned and obsessed with? I'm not saying we should not judge it sinful, I'm saying we're all sinners. They're really no worse than any of the rest of us.

Sorry to ruin what the Priest has been saying but I don't think that's a sin in my book. Unless your family members go around stealing or murdering people. If God really does love everyone you'd think he'd be happy people like that find love anyway they can. That's all I can think of to say. Good luck on finding a happy mediam umong all the answers.
I'm sure a lot will rant and rave about sins perhaps using swear words to make a point.

I don't know of any family members that are gay, but I can say that I agree with your way of thinking in that we as Christians are supposed to love the sinner and hate the sin. All we can do is pray that God's will be worked in their lives to revert and turn from this choice they've made before it's too late! We must continue to love them in an effort to show them Christ's love working in us!

I was born gay, was raised Christian, my mother's still christian, my father's become a deist over the years, and they just accept it and don't care one bit. Very supportive. They're parents, they want the best for me and for me to be happy. That means letting me live by my beliefs and the orientation I was born with. Neither of them believe it to be a sin, though my father still feels that same-gendered marriage is wrong [though even he admits he has no rational or theistic reason for it].

You may want to work on gaining some empathy. Being gay, in addition to being a sexual attraction, defines the person's capacity to love another human being. If you were restricted from loving someone because your innate loving nature were deemed sinful, I doubt you would ever be able to develop peace of mind.
By placing a blanket statement that you "hate the sin," you are stating that you have made up your mind that you condemn part of your family members that can fall in love and live a committed life.

I don't personally know of relatives that are gay but do know some gay people. I don't agree with the homosexual way of life but as a Christian, I still love and pray for them. I don't treat them any differently because that would also be wrong.
You are doing the right thing... keep loving and praying for them.
God Bless....

Believe what you want and allow others to do the same. If your favorite type of icecream is chocolate do you leave the room every time someone eats strawberry? Do you confront them? Don't worry about it. I'm not Christian but didn't Jesus hang around a bunch of sinners?? Time to get off your high horse and accept them for who they are. Additionally, don't you believe that god made people in his image and likeness....doesn't that include gay people??

that question will sure bring you lots of negative responses from people who do not recognise your love and compassion for the gays you mentioned
God loves gays as persons, as his creation,
he hates the sin of homosexuality because it is not normal ...
I truly belive that with the help of God a gay person can come to see the light and repent and live a normal life without sin
but it takes faith, and patience, and compassion and empathie and helping christians and friends around
it's a pity that a lot of people will strongly defend being gay or the right to be gay although they feel very unhappy with their lives
they know they do something wrong deep inside of them
God bless you and thanks for your compassion

Homosexuality is frowned upon in most religions in the world. It an act that is against nature so its difficult to accept. Its difficult to hate the people you love but its difficult to accept their choice too. A sin is still a sin, but the choice is ours. Once we choose our way we have to bear the consequences.

If you think that being a homosexual is wrong, then I suggest you don't be one.
And who are you to pass judgment on anybody? Are you perfect? Have you never sinned in your entire life?
Take a good look at yourself before you attempt to judge others.
And like Tirya says, it's sad that you place conditions on your love for your family.
