For the same reason as :
mixed nuts having a warning that reads - May contain peanuts and/or other nuts

Mc Donalds coffee having the warning - caution hot

and my personal favourite....

my new stroller coming with the warning - ensure all occupants are removed from stroller before folding

More than likely it was put on there by their legal department to cover their own *** just in case some dumb-*** took the pills and then later got into his car and got into an accident and tried to blame them for it, because they didn't warn him.

It's like the person who sued because they weren't warned that their hot coffee was hot. Duh!

What about on lawn mowers. They have a warning: Do not put hands or feet under or into mower when engine is running. Sometimes, they even have little drawings to go with the words too. I'm sure they started putting that there after some fool either stuck his foot under his lawn mower or reach under it for some reason while it was running.

Some sleeping pills have a hang-over effect and linger on when you get up in the morning.. leaving you tired and drowsy even after a good ngiht's sleep.

For the same reason that McDonald's puts "Caution: Contents May Be Hot" on their coffee cups. Because they don't want to get sued.

Well, for one reason a lot of people take sleeping pills and then remember they have to go somewhere or do something and that person ends up killing themselves or others.

Because they want to make sure that you understand this. Dont you know we are all IDIOTS! If we didnt have people telling us the obvious then we would hurt ourselves.....

At least this is the only exlanation i have for stating the obvious.
