Well, to the rude comment someone left about me being a math genius... I am not stupid, i know how many weeks are in a month, but i didnt know if they were different when dealing with pregnancy. By, the way, if you are going to leave rude comments... dont even bother... get a life.

Your second trimester begins when you begin week 13, so right now you are just starting your 3rd month.

It's best to not go by "months" because it is so inexact when talking about pregnancy. I say this because most people think of pregnancy as 9 months, and it sort of is since our months are 30 and 31 days long...but it's 40 weeks and going by the 4 weeks (28 days) in a month method it makes the pregnancy 10 months. So unless you are talking to someone who just wants a rough idea of how far along you are just stick with weeks. Once I get close to the end I stop saying how far along I am and start saying how many weeks I have left to go. That seems to avoid confusion when dealing with other people. If I remember correctly the first trimester ends between the 13th and 14th week (maybe 14th and 15th)...I'm 36 weeks so it's been a while since I have looked that up. Hope this helps.

Pregnancy typically covers nine months, but not 36 calendar weeks. When you and your doctor establish your baby's due date, you'll be told that your due date (EDD) is 40 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP). If you deliver on your due date, you are actually only 38 weeks pregnant then, because of the two weeks difference between your LMP and the fertilization of the egg.
Any pregnancy has three characteristic periods, different from one another, that are called trimesters, each covering roughly 3 months of the entire pregnancy period. You should expect different body changes during each of the trimesters, as well as different developmental changes for your baby.

Yes you are two months, the first trimester is months 1,2, and 3 your second trimester includes months 4,5, and 6, so once you complete the third month you can consider yourself in the second trimester.

there are 40 weeks in a pregnancy. Witch is 10 months. This starts from the first day of your last period. (because there is no exact way of telling when you got pregnant.)

I think you would greatly benefit from going to http://www.babycenter.com They have great information that they will actually e-mail you week by week. Its awsome. congrats
