Is it because they feel trashy after sex and need to save face? Even if the accusation is false this will always stick with the guy. Women even have this power after marriage with spousal rape laws.

I didn't say all rape accusations were lies. None the less there is reason that there are only 6 convictions out of 100 accusations.

Because some do not want to admit that they cheated on their husband, so they lie and say they were raped. Some get mad when they find out they were just a one-night-stand to the guy they just met at the bar and slept with the same night, so they cry rape for revenge. Same for when they get themselves drunk and then willingly have sex. They just don't want to take responsibility for their own actions.

Some women lie about rape because of shame, many accuse rape to humiliate the man, others lie because they are vindictative. The number of convictions are based on fact...not only on the statement of the woman. In most true rape cases, women withdraw...they don't want to tell anyone and by the time that they do, the physical evidence of vagina trauma has disappeared, and any DNA trace has disappeared as well....so it become one person's word against the other and the DA will probably not prosecute...unless the man has a history of sexual assault. During such an investigation, attention is also paid to the woman's history. Spousal rape is a different matter and it is hard to prove...again it could be vindictive or true rape. However the laws in many states provide that false charges of rape...a serious offense...are guilty of perjury, and making false charges and are liable to civil suits for defamation of character, slander, libel and the man could be awarded punitive damages as well. With court imposed fines...all assets may be forfeit until those fines are met.

I am sure there are people in this world that lie about many things, that is what our society has become.

Rape is not a joking matter, but if someone did lie it could be to just save face, I guess it depends on the person's morals and beliefs.

Also about the comment if the accusation is false this will always stick with the guy.... actually this statement is false, if NOTHING is determined. No evidence, no dna, nothing to incriminate the man, it will be dropped gone, vanished.... It will not always be there unless he did commit the offense and then he should get what he is asked for.

And as far as the Spousal Rape Laws; I think they are a good thing. For as long as society has allowed it men were able to treat their wives however the man seen fit. I am greatful for the laws, because those are "protection measures" for women.

NO means no I don't care if you are married, dating, the richest man in the world. I don't care if I consented in the beginning and changed my mind in the middle.... NO is NO!

I don't reckon many lie about such a serious event, unless they have a mental health issue.

I reckon some guys should not take liberties like assuming when a girl has a short skirt or certain type of boots and is seriously drunk, that she is up for a bit of action.

I ain't gay and i can assure you Ive knocked back lots of easy lays cos I would feel wrong to take advantage of girls in certain conditions.

A women should be able to walk down the street in her birthday suit drunk without some primitive animal jumping on her.

There is millions of people to choose from who will consent fully to anything why force yourself upon somebody.

I reckon in rape causes both parties should be injected with a truth drug and interrogated by experts and mental health people. Then they can decide guilt. Not a jury of people who already have opinions for one side or another.

to say there is a direct correlation will convictions>low=lies is ridiculous as there are other reasons these convictions are not won but that is simple shocking that such a low percentage are won.

There are domestic violence abusers (and other men) who DO rape their wives often to assert dominance and power or humiliate them

As to women who actually do lie, this could be for a number of reasons, many listed above.

part of the reason why there are only 6 convictions is that women dont want to be put through the ringer on the witness stand(i doubt your figures though) and because of men like you who have that kind of attitude. rape is not about sex. its about power. you obviously need some counseling re women's rights. if someone made a false statement against re rape you can sue them. your question really sickens me and i am sure it sickens other women also.

well its sad because this issue needs a better look it started off to help women who were victomized but in recent it has turned into many faulse acusations. The men always take the heat even when not paticualry guilty its a cruch. It also gives a bad name for women who were actually raped as everything is questioned anymore as to how much truth is there to this story and is she fibing or telling the truth.

I don't think they do. On the contrary, the opposite is true - many rapes go unreported. Probably because of fear of attitudes like yours.

I don't know. Many of the people here that I though would agree with me and defend women use many of the same kinds of arguments you have when the Juanita Broaddrick story comes up.

But I try to be consistent.

My friend just spent 8 months in jail for rape, then she finally admitted to lying. The answer why: I think that some bitches are just plan crazy and don't know how to deal with their emotions. They take the easy way out rather than admitting the truth. It gives a bad rep. for all the cool girls out there and those who were actually raped. To all Crazy Bitches: GET SOME FUC KIN HELP!!!
