While all men react to this differently, its never a positive thing. Most men will become depressed or short tempered. Especially if he's currently in a relationship that's going through a dry spell. It can sometimes make a man question a current realtionship.
Some men try to cope woth these feelings by keeping themselves busy. Exersize, playing sports, manual labor and other physical activites help men to focus. I know that sounds very stereotypical, but its the truth.

if you're asking this because you have a boyfriend who's emotionally blackmailing you about "blue balls" or some such, know that that's b.s. as far as it being a physical condition
if a guy has been having sex regularly and then has to abstain, it will heighten his sex drive and he will get horny or frustrated in its absence. but there is no real physical effect of abstinance. it's a mental thing.
