While it was happening and after: was there a reaction? or did things continue, unchanging as ever?

toing is (pretty obviously) 'to'. Not sure how the ing got there.

There's really no record of the Jewish people particularly noticing Jesus. That's part of the "mystery" of Christianity, which sprang up out of nowhere a couple of hundred years after the death of its "namesake".

all of the early Christians were Jew's that is why Jesus had 12 disciples one from each of the tribes of Israel Christians are rooted in Judaism there was not real difference between the two until Julie Cesar got involved and said he was a christian and stated ed to make it Romans new religion that is were we get roman Catholicism.
