I know that many of you (in violation of the rules of grammar) lay on the beach instead of lying on it as the English language indicates you should. I may LIE down on my sofa, but I always LAY a book down. These are only two examples, but many more could be given. Poor English usage has become so prevalent in America that people who use correct English are often thought to be the ones in error.

GRAMMAR? You're worried about GRAMMAR?

As I see it, American government education is essentially a lost cause altogether. The grammar aspects of the English language are but a small part of the problem. I strongly recommend homeschooling.

This is only one symptom of our country's slouch towards illiteracy. Ignorance, laziness, and mediocrity are not only tolerated, but at times *celebrated*.

you love commas too much.
for someone who is so quick to cry about how people talk, you, sure, do use, a lot of commas, when you dont need, them.
