It sounds like she is scared. You took away her security when you took away her "Binky". First of all you were correct to take away the "Binky" it's really bad for children over the age of 2 to suck on any thing whether it's a bottle or a pacifier. It can cause tooth decay and in extreme cases a palette that's to high in the mouth, which requires braces to fix. As far as getting her to sleep in her room again may I suggest that you find or buy her a stuffed animal and explain to her that the toy will protect her while she is sleeping and that she has nothing to worry about. I have found that with my own children and my friends children that Glow-worms, Care Bears, Barney and Blue tend to be the most popular for this. Good luck and sweet dreams.

It could be several reasons.May sound bad but make sure no one is sexually assulting her at nights. If thats not the case then around the age of 2 is when children start to become scared of the dark and also at 2 is when the horrible nightmares start.Dont be watching movies with violence or too much drama in them as this will have a effect on a small child especially at nights. If she has older siblings or around older kids then make sure no one is telling her about the boogy man under the bed or in the closet or about monsters. It`s also almost holloween time.Even if your house is not decorated for holloween she might be seeing scarey commercials or scarey holloween decorations on other peoples houses. There is a reason why she all of a sudden needs mom for security reasons.Look into everything,.Good luck.I really dont think the binky being taken away is whats causing this.

Binky? Like a special blanket or doll or toy? Why did you take it away, most of my kids (I have 6) had a special blanket, and they kept it until well past 2 1/2.
In fact, just the other day my 10 year old daughter saw a photo of herself as a toddler, she said "Hey there's my blankie!!" It was sooo cute, she remembers it so fondly.
Another option is to let her sleep with you for a while, several of my kids did that too.

well try to read to her put her in her bed at night ant tell her its bed time and if she keeps bothering you just keep putting her back in her room even if she cries but try to put her asleep first maybe sing a song to her also she could be fussy cus you just took away the binky and usually thats what comforts the baby when their scared.

Put on some soft music - Linda Rhondstadt's lullaby collection is very good. Also, maybe a night-light - just a small, dim one. Give her a teddy bear - and above all, when she starts crying - don't keep checking on her. Let her go. It's a ploy to get you to get her out of bed again, after it's time for bed.
She'll get used to it - just make it comfy for her.
Good luck!
