Book of Matthew: Chapter 6
5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9"This, then, is how you should pray:
" 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10your kingdom come,
your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.

I do ask for help and guidance for myself and others, but praying is not just about asking. It is also about thanking God for what he has done. It's a conversation with the Father.

First, you should pray that if any of your prayers do not give glory to God, that they not be answered. On a personal note, I pray for the remission of my sins, the wellbeing of myself and others, and many things that are taking place towards God's plan.

when I pray... I ask that God protects me and my family. I ask him to frogive me if I said anything that wasn't appealing to him. I ask him that He allow me to see the light of another day.. When I pray I ask him for a lot but at the same time I don't ask for much.. Just to see him on the other side when I leave this Earth

I ask for alot of things. but sometimes God's answer is "no". I accept this because I know He must have a good reason. Like Garth Brooks sings "Some of God's greatest gifts, are unanswered prayers!" God bless you...

Yes,I first ask forgiveness of my sins.I then ask for wisdom, knowledge and understanding, but most of all,I ask for His perfect will to be done. With God as my Father, there's no need to ask for anything else, because He always provides me with everything I need.
