First of all, find out if your ideal weight is appropriate for your age, height and build. Back when I was 125 lbs, I was on the verge of dying, even though I'm only 5'2" tall. If your family history demands that you be a little thicker in the musculo-skeletal system, then your weight target will have to be higher.

Second, control what and when you eat. 5 or so meals of SMALL portions of food that are healthy for you spread throughout the day will boost your metabolism like nobody's business. Also, don't look to cut things out entirely, just balance and minimize junk. Those chips looking good? Have a handful, not a bag. If you cut out fats and sugars entirely, your body has a good chance of going into shock, since you're not producing any (it's all in your diet!) Fats and sugars are an essential part of maintaining a healthy body, but should be minimized.

Third, get on a regimen of exercise that suits your needs. Want a flatter tummy? Do 20 crunches a day. When that gets easy, add 10 more. Want a smaller botom? Do leg presses and cardio. Start at 10 minutes and work your way up.

Finally, take it slow. Working out too much can increase your risk of injury and weakness in your immune system. Take a day off now and then, at least one a week. Stick with those steps, and take your time doing it, and you'll be where you want to be without stretch marks from muscle gain or excess skin hanging off of you.

losing weight involves not just diet and exercises but a complete life change. It's what you're doing in your life now that has put you where you're at. I'm sure you know how the diet and exercise work...the thing to do is figure out what makes you want to eat and when you're doing it. When those things occur find something else to do...take a shower, go for a walk, anything away from the food. Another thing that will help is keeping all the "junk food" out of the house. Even when you have those cravings for "junk food" it won't hurt to eat a bite or two satisfy the cravings, just don't eat the whole thing. :) By making life changes you will not only lose the weight but be able to keep it off as well. There are many books out there to help you do this and ask your family and friends for their support in the process. Good Luck and you can do it. :)

First you have to figure out why you’re over weight…eating problems or medical. Next, if it’s eating, then look at what…why…how you eat. Dieting and exercising is not enough, you must have moral support from your family and friends. Become aware of the ingredients of what you are eating and probably I would join maybe Weight Watchers, they seem to be really supportive. It’s always sooooooooooooo easy to put it (weight) on, but takes forever to get (and keep) it off. I wish you success!

And, as an after thought, how tall are you? My 34 year old daughter is 6’1” and weighs about 210-240, but it does not look bad on her, she just needs to firm up…of course she feels over weight and gets depressed. But her eating habits are not great; she DOES NOT eat regularly scheduled meals, sometimes only once a day, but does not gorge then. She also likes to drink (beer mostly), which everyone knows is full of calories. Again, I would suggest seeing your doctor and deciding a on weight loss plan that would fit your life style. Good luck!

Slowly and carefully.
You need to increase your exercise while decreasing your caloric intake to burn off excess weight.
To keep off weight lost you need to make lifestyle changes (which is why so many of these quickie and fad diets don't last; once people lose the weight they go back to their eating habits/patterns and the pounds come rushing back!)
Eat at least three meals a day and NEVER ever skip breakfast! If you're hungry in between meals, choose healthy snacks like raw veggies (carrots, celery, cucumber) fruit (apple, grapefruit NOT starchy bananas), vegetable juice or soup.
You don't have to buy specific weight loss stuff (which is often over-priced). But you must READ labels (lots of processed foods have tons of hidden sugars -- anything ending in "-ose"), buy as much fresh as possible, eat at least five servings a day of fruit and veg (more veg than fruit as fruit contain natural sugars which are better for you but can still add weight), eat whole grains in place of refined (stay away from WHITE foods like white bread, rice, pasta), buy low fat or non-fat milk, yoghurt, cheese. Cut back on meat consumption; chicken (without the fatty skin) and fish are easier to digest and lower in fat than beef or pork. If you're a real meat lover, then limit yourself to one modest steak a week (along with your chicken and fish).
Stay as far away as possible from fast food; it is FULL of fat and sugar!
Move! Walking non-stop for ONE HOUR (the length of time is important) is one of the easiest ways to exercise. You don't need expensive gear or a gym membership to walk! By doing it for one hour you get aerobic benefits.
In fact, walk whenever you can; take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. Park your car as far away from the mall entrance as possible. Is the bank or postoffice nearby? Leave your car at home or use a bike! Bicycling is also a good way to get fit.
You don't say how tall you are. Going from 230 to 125 is quite a difference! I'm 5 feet 9 inches tall and can weigh between 130-150. As tempting as it may seem, being underweight can be as dangerous for your health as being overweight!
Be wise! Be careful! And good luck!

first off lay off the junk food. start eating healthy, this might take time to get used to but it'll work. take in less carbs. eat more of a protien based diet, but drink a lot of water. Move. be it doing exercises or just moving. become active.walking is a great start to get used to the idea of exercising. walk a certain distance to start with. time youself on how long it takes to do it round trip. after a few days, try and walk that same round trip distance in a shorter period of time. do not try to go with fad diets or overexercising to start. Oh yeh, by increasing the speed at which you walk you will start to burn more calories. this will also help to speed up your metabolism. which in in turn will be benificial in burning more calories and fat.when you have seemed to reach a good time on your walking increse your distance and basically start over. a wieght loss of 2-3 lbs. per week on a steady basis is healthy. multiply that by 52 and you'll get a good idea how long this will take. remember anything worth doing should be done right and with a positive attitude

i found the e book to be very informative and hassle-free to envision. i've got lost 17 pounds in 12 days, i'm in basic terms worried that i'm dropping too plenty weight, too immediately. i'll confess i've got no longer accompanied the handbook precisely. i'm no longer sticking completely to the listed meals and meal plans (yet regularly) and doing little or no exercising, however the burden retains flying off. It needless to say works and if i could accompanied it precisely i think of it could scare the residing daylights out of me because of the quantity that i could lose. So thank you back for the records. i've got by no potential offered something like this earlier because of the fact they're many times full of trash, yet 3WD has been a delightful marvel. start right this moment!
