Just tell him dear, be honest, up front, and don't joke around. Hopefully you haven't already teased him. If you have, he might become very confused and pissed off. Good luck dear, let us know what happened.

You just tell him strait. If that doesnt work or your nervous say something like ' you know i think of you only as a good freind thats why im telling you i like this guy any ideas on how to get him to notice me' Its better if you use someone in particular becouse otherwise he may think yuotr reffering to him. Being honest is best and will stop you digging too many holes. If he trully cares about you he wont mind or if he does its good you found out before things got out of hand. Hang around in groups for a while but done chicken out with hanging out alone or he will get the wrong signal or feel hurt. Treat him the same as your other male mates.
Good luck

You won't look like a tease if you tell him straight....or are we too late for that, perhaps you are feeling a tad guilty about the flirting so far ?
Be dead straight with him, no flirting. Us blokes are idiots, and sign of a flirt will be seen as a message that he's still in with a chance. He needs to be clear from the outset that its just friends, and don't leave him with a "maybe" at the end of the night. Be clear, just friends.
Personally, if a girl doesn't throw up in my presence that's a bonus and see it as a sign of a flirt and a sure thing.
As my computer didn't freeze with submitting the answer I've come back into here to edit....I take it were're on for a date, the fact that my PC didn't freeze must mean you like me, right ?

Just tell him. The best way to come off like an jerk is to drag it out or beat around the bush. If he is a big boy he can handle it, if not you are better off anyway. But make sure you follow up on your words. Do not say you just want to be friends, then lead him on. Don't treat him any differenty than you would any other male friends, and try to be around him in groups mostly for a while. And definately if you get drunk (assuming you drink and may be around him) do not call or flirt to give him the wrong signals. Just be honest with him and then back it up and he will respect you for it... unless he is the b**** then who cares.

Simply tell him straight! Apologise to him if he feels that you have been giving out signals but you want nothing more than friendship. People sometimes see what they want to see even if the other person isn't giving off signals. Sounds like you value his friendship and telling him that will make him feel slightly better about the situation. Hope it goes well for you. x

You just have to be bluntly or even brutally honest with him. If he is angry with you or calls you a ***** for being so honest, then maybe he wouldn't make a very good friend. Its a good practice to keep others feelings in mind, but don't beat yourself up over it. Some people are goin gto be jerks no matter how good you treat them. Always remember that.

Everybody flirts hun, but have you already given him the wrong idea? If not, then just tell him straight, don't let it drag on or it will get worse then it would be your fault.
Once it's done you'll feel alot better. Good luck babe!!!

That's a hard one to do, because if he is interested in more than friendship from you he will either nod his head, agree with you, and then try to change your mind, or he will get angry and accuse you of the things you don't want to hear! I think you might be better off just chatting openly about guys you'd like to date etc.. so that's telling him, but in not such a nasty way
