I have found pleanty of death penalties for locals or tourists of asian origin but I have yet to find out if any white tourists recieved the death penalty. Anyone know of any cases?

As I'm having trouble finding out about any I am trying to research on how white tourists generally seem to get lighter sentences. I don't approve of the death penalty I'm just trying to find out if any backpackers ever actually got it.

Planning on running drugs? Most white tourists are sentenced to life in prison or 50 years thean capital punishment in asia. Although if you're talking Indonesia all bets are off. Many districts there use Sharia and do not always report sentences to the government.

Could you be more specific? Where? What charge that would result in the Death penalty? In my exp. the race of the defendant was not the key factor. The amount of wealth and power one has is. In the USA there are more white inmates than any other race by a ratio of 60:24, 60 White inmates for every 24 Black inmates. This is right in line with the population totals of 2000.

White tourists from where? I don't think the issue is that the tourist is white, but that the countries like America and Canada fight very hard to get their citizens to be tried in their own country, while Asian countries (and others) would not bother.

white tourists get in big trouble in Mexico and many other countries any with civil war and no civil rights especially.. Africa has bad trouble spots and Asia and middle east.too.
did you know the American hitchhike hand sign means FU to a middle eastern? caused some big tourist problems.

I have never heard of any backpacker being arrested and executed. When did backpacking become a capital offense, and in what country so I can stay away from it.
