Concentrate on the other person. Ask open-ended questions that get the other thinking...for e.g. WHY do you love Austrialia? Whose your favourite character?
Make it last about an hour. You want the other wanting more. So at the end of the date, a kiss (on da cheek)? Make it slow...make sure u make lots of EYE CONTACT...without looking like a big freak!

Just get to know them, ask questions about them, and listen intently. Answer questions about you. Ask where they see themself in 5 years. 1 hour usually isn't enough.

first date is very important since it gives first impression to yor date..just act naturally..you can talk about averything..but dont get too personal yet..
