However, the 2 soda bottles taped together idea above would be less costly.

- two large platic soft drink bottle filled with water.
- Turn the first one up-side-down and time how long it takes to empty
- with the second, spin the bottle as you turn it up-side-down and you will see a whirlpool inside. It empties much faster

is that any good?

Just take 2 empty pop bottles and tape them together, it works, I seen it on blues clues with my daughter!
