Jogging is better. You have to ride a bike further to burn the same calories as jogging.

If i can be of further assistance, let me know.

Whichever one you choose try to keep your heart rate in the 95 - 110 range for your workouts, you'll end up with much better weight loss results over the long term. Its not simply a matter of burning the most amount of calories in each workout but burning them at a controlled easy pace that gives you the weight loss. Look into zone training....
I ran for 35 years, knees are wore out, take to the bike!!!

Riding a bike. If you're constant and don't dilly-dally, it's great for your heart as well as your balance and leg muscles. (Don't forget to warm up and cool down.)
You really have to be careful with jogging. Runner Jim Fixx keeled over with a heart attack! Jogging is hard impact and you can end up with (very painful) shin splints because of it.
Remember: muscle weighs more than fat so measure your "weight loss" by how your clothes fit.
Good luck!

Either one, as long as you break as sweat. Don't rely on swimming to lose weight, as 1 other person suggested. Swimming, albeit a great form of exercise, keeps the fat on your body. The reason for this is because the water is a cooler temperature than your body. Your body needs the insulation therefore, you won't burn fat. However, if you want to supplement your jobbing or biking with swimming, go for it!

Both. Alternate between the two to keep the body from adapting to the exercise.

I'd say alternate between the two. It will keep your workouts from getting boring.

Which do you enjoy more? That's the one you'll do more, so you'll burn more calories.
