It could be a bad thing. If the relationship fizzles you still have to work with the individual. This could make for a very uncomfortable situation especially if your ex tells your fellow co-workers intimate, personal things about you. Then again, my brother met his wife on the job. They've been happily married for 11 years.

It can be a good thing as long as it's kept away from the workplace and therefore doesn't interfere with the job. This would be very unlikely, however. I would say it is not a good idea to date someone you work with unless both parties concerned are extremely mature. Otherwise, a falling out between the two romancers can lead to all kinds of problems in the workplace.

It was a wonderful thing. She came to work there and we instantly hit it off. After 6 months of flirting we finally could not take it any longer.Everyone was gone but us and we began to kiss. All the way home that day I thought my heart would blow up. The next day we decided to meet at a motel across from work after work. We ended up having a very hot affir for 2 years. We had sex in the bathroom at work, on the bosses desk, all over town in our car and I had a deal with the motel clerk for 20 cash every time we need a room. It was wonderful until my wife found out. I would not do it again for 1,000,000 dollars.

If she's the office sl*&, then don't be surprised if it's a one time thing, or if you get a disease. If you are talking an actual romance, the office should be avoided, as if things don't work out, you are stuck in a awkard situation. If it's just sex, go for it!

It's bad. BUT....there are ways around it. I met my current b/f at work, but I was in the process of looking for a new job so for 2 months we had be on the down low. Was kinda fun b/c we'd sneak out for lunch and go home for a nooner, then return to work and no one knew what we had just done! It was great.

But, you don't plan on leaving the job, then I wouldn't advise it. It's too complicated and people stick their noses in your business where it doesn't belong.

Usually bad (haven't you seen the Office? I'm still mad that Pam didn't get with Jim!), but at least you're not the only single person in your office, and the married people are trying to fix you up with people they know...lol.

I think it is a bad thing especially if the rest of the office knows about it, it causes mixed emotions and if there is ever a break up can cause LOTS of stress!!!!!

when you work in an office you should not get involved with workmates...if you date and if there is a breakup the office would be a battleground. That could get you fired if the boss says no fraternization. It would be uncomfortable for the others that work there also since they would chose sides. And your ex could get you fired for sexual harrassment.

It is very good while it's still going on, however if you ever have an arguments just know that everyone and their mother will know. You will not be able to keep anything secret and it wil be the main conversation topic at lunch time. Have fun!!!

It is not necessarily a bad thing unless the company you work for looks down on it...many places have a no fratronizing policy and if you get caught you can get fired. It is nice though to have your sweetie around at work and you can sneak out at lunch for a "nooner".
