Depends on where you draw the lines of distinction. Would alcoholism be "unnatural"? How about consequences of drug abuse? Promiscuous sex? Self destructive behavior? BASE jumping? What about the smallpox that ravaged Native Americans and was introduced as biologic warfare by those very Christian Europeans? Are those examples simply natural selection, writ large? Currently, starvation would probably be certified as natural, unless the famine were due to political genocide efforts.

I would estimate probably one fourth of people died of what we currently would call "unnatural" causes. Remember that not so very long ago, there were not antibiotics and only a little before that, there was no sanitation, sewer systems or understanding of what even caused disease.

According to your definition I think everyone has met their death by "unnatural causes". Even death by way of old age can be attributed to heart disease, lung disease, liver disease etc.
