I know it depends on the individuals hair type.....but how often do you wash your hair? I wash mine everyday, as it always goes lank and feels greasy the day after I've washed it.
Have you any tips or could you recommend a good shampoo & conditioner?
Thanks in advance!

My hair has greasy roots so I have to wash it every day otherwise I look awful.

In the mornings I use a dry shampoo, which is just an aerosol spray that you spray on your hair and it absorbs any grease and makes your hair look and small clean. There's a Lee Stafford one in a pink can as well as a cheaper version that starts with a G and comes in a green can. You can get both in Boots.

I then wash my hair in the evening. I haven't found any shampoo that works at keeping my hair non-greasy. I suppose you could try a salon shampoo though is likely to be about £10 a bottle.

Well it's tru e everyone's hair is different. But nobody should wash there hair daily. The chemicals in your shampoo and conditioner are too strong for you hair to handle for that long. Try doing it every other day or three times a week. Use a shampoo for greasy hair, and remember to wash it out really well. Apply conditioner only twice a week. It does make hair feel nice but it also makes hair eel greasy quicker. Try having a bath with baby oil in it. Not a lot. But it will make you hair and skin feel amazing. Good luck!

I wash my hair with shamppoo only once a week, or sometimes once every two weeks. I have short hair (I wear it in a kind of funky bob, so the top and front is longer than the back and sides). I swim 4 or 5 times a week, and after swimming, I shower with hot water, no shampoo. It has worked wonders for my hair - it is clean but not lank or heavy; it has a great shine and swing to it.
When it comes to shampooing, often less is best!

Mine is the same as yours. And despite my having dry hair it somehow ends up greasy by the end of the day or next day.

I always wash with Tressemme's Vitamin C Deep Cleansing shampoo and if I use conditioner it's some store brand leave in conditioner (compared to PM). My hair tends to get very weighed down if I use any kind of rinse out conditioner so I have to keep it to a bare minimum. So far out of all the hair products I've used in my life, including the so-called volumizing salons products of various brands, this method of shampoo and leave in conditioner has been the best.

I wash mine around twice a week because if you wash your hair too often you'll strip away all the natural oils. Obviously if you feel your hair is greasy you won't want to leave it hanging there! When mine feels as though it needs washing but I don't have time I put a bump in the front and slick the rest back into a pony tail and it always looks nice (I think!). The longer you try to leave it the better it feels after the next wash. If all else fails try a fortifying shampoo and conditioner like fructis to give it some body. Hope this helps!

You don't want to wash you hair everyday; it'll strip it away, leaving it dry, eventually.
Maybe do it every other day, at most, so that you can brush that oil all the way down your hair length.
My sister uses face powder (not compact, but loose type) on her hair near the roots to take away the shine, but not the health.
Salon products are always the best, and natural products even better.
If your hair really gets oily, try just washing with 2 - in -1 shampoo/conditioner.
Hope this helps.

Me too- I wash everyday and I can't really skip a day without having a lot of oil. This goes for any brand of shampoo/conditioner I use. One tip: don't put conditioner on the top of your head. It's supposed to go on the end of your hair only.

I have very fine hair. I wash mine everyday. Mine also gets greasy if I don't wash it. I use Aussie shampoo and conditioner. I think it is Dual Personality for Greasy Roots and Dry Ends. It works pretty well. I also alternate the Aussie Volume shampoo that works pretty well.

I only wash my hair about once every ten days, this is because I am disabled and it is very difficult to do!! The first few weeks of this regime, my hair felt horrible, but now it seems to stay clean for much longer than it used to. Over washing your hair can make lank hair worse. Any brand of shampoo will clean your hair, it is personal preference, just make sure you rinse thoroughly. BTW my hair is down to the middle of my back!!

I wash my hair everyday except Sunday's to try and give it a rest, I know its not good for your hair as it strips it of all the natural oils. I use Lush shampoo and conditioner its made from fruit and all natural things they smell lovely, they don't use any chemicals which can only be good. You will smell a Lush shop before you see it! I still have to wash it everyday buts its not as greasy the next day and my hair is super soft & shiny. Give it ago :o)
