Because 0f back pain i had not worked out in a year, I was in decent shape from walking. I want to incorparate running. I'm doing 20 min intervals routine on treadmil. And although the routine is 20 min sometimes i have to stop at least three times. Should i keep going till i master this program or try something easier. The speed range from 1.0-4.0, and i am getting better. but will it work if i have to stop so often. i want to build up to my 30 min.

I was logging my food intake, and reduced it by the reconmended 500 calories. I really want to be heart healthy.... and it's been 2 weeks. feel great because i getting back on track. lose weight before by just reducing the calories was unhealthy still.

Just keep it going. Try adding like a minute each time your on the treadmill. If you have an ipod or mp3 player, I suggest wearing that too. It helps your motivation a lot.

If you keep running, you'll improve your fitness. Its ok to have short breaks, but as you improve, you shouldnt need as many.

Good luck.

What easier exercise could there be then walking?I think you really need to pull your socks and start doing more exercise if you hope get your weight down.I think you should try a bit of weight training it will help you to lose weight quickly.Diet also is an important part of a fitness routine so cut out the fatty foods, I know which will be difficult at the start but you'll get used to it. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
